the art of the purge
a body is made of millions — if not billions — of organisms, all cooperating or competing, mirroring the patterns of the mind. both “body” and “mind” are ultimately functions of thought: the attachment to an “i.” that “i” can grow incredibly complex, shaped by distortions of desires and aversions. identity, in this sense, is simply a constellation of tendencies expressed mentally, astrally (in dreams), and physically.
as we begin to detach from these mental desires and aversions, the body follows — more slowly, because physical matter vibrates at a denser frequency than mental matter.
ascension is both discrete and continuous, depending on one’s perspective. it’s like water heating: temperature rises gradually, then suddenly, at a threshold, water becomes vapor. mental and bodily change works the same way: the mind reaches toward a higher frequency, and the body reorganizes itself accordingly.
during this “phase shift,” a purge occurs. the mind purges subtly — old thoughts and emotions from a lower consciousness interfering with those of the higher. the body purges more dramatically: lower vibrations pushing against higher ones trying to stabilize. this creates a kind of vibrational battle, the two frequencies contending for dominance.
the lower vibration tends to persist because it’s the foundational resonance. but with steady pressure from the higher, the lower eventually shifts into harmony.
this is the root of all disease, both mental and physical. disease is vibrational disharmony working itself out. purging expels the vibrational material no longer compatible with who we’re becoming. physically this may appear as mucus, inflammation, infection, or any bodily process attempting to re-establish resonance.
in this sense, purging is a gift. even when painful, it signals that the body is ready to release what has been quietly hindering it. purging teaches us to accept shifts in our being with patience, grace, and will. it is a kind of initiation.
purging happens on many levels, fractaling from micro to macro and back again — it is a dialectic process. when the collective mind rises to a new vibration, purging occurs across the network of “individuals,” each experiencing their version of the shift. this is why families, communities, nations — even the planet — often get sick or destabilized together.
this is also why focused individual intention is so powerful. one person shifting into a higher resonance creates a ripple, requiring everyone around them to contend with that frequency. ultimately, there is only one body (nobody) drawing closer to, or further from, itself.
we see the current activity on your planet — the upheavals in human and environmental awareness alike, and the purges accompanying them — as signs of profound healing and deepening unity of planetary consciousness. healing is simply the shedding of denser thought-realities for lighter ones. like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly: a transition into greater lightness that requires intense, transformative purging.
death on any level can be understood as a purge: the shedding of the dense physical body for the higher-frequency astral body. eventually the astral is shed for the causal, and the causal dissolves into pure being — beyond identification entirely. reincarnation is simply the return to a denser state when awareness remains attached to that mode of vibration.
if you find yourself purging, allow it. do not resist. resistance is the lower frequency overpowering the higher; allowing is the higher drawing the lower upward — the easeful reconciliation. the less you fight, the more smoothly the process completes, just as one floats by relaxing into water and sinks by struggling.
thus, to “manifest” thoughts into material being is, in itself, a resistance to higher consciousness — manifestation operates through desire and therefore invokes density. meditation, on the other hand, is the dissolution process: the willful “manifestation” of nothing, the passive-active practice of observing one’s attachments and releasing them. manifestation pulls one into a denser state; meditation draws one into a lighter one.
this is why it is said: to die to oneself is to live eternally. “oneself” meaning the individuated consciousness; “eternal life” meaning that which is beyond identification. remain unattached to fear and desire, keep your inner gaze on the eternal, and all that is not eternal will eventually fall away.
